  3. Optimize PNG Reduce PNG file size by optimizing PNG encoding and color palettes, with the option to reduce the number of colors when needed. Use the color setting to control the level of compression: more colors preserve image detail and color accuracy, while fewer colors produce smaller files but may cause more noticeable color changes.
  4. Compress WebP Compress WebP images using efficient image compression technology that can significantly reduce file size while maintaining good visual quality. Adjust the quality setting to control compression: higher quality preserves more image detail but creates larger files, while lower quality produces smaller files but may introduce more visible compression artifacts.
  5. Compress GIF Reduce GIF file size by optimizing the color palette with ImageMagick 7 while preserving animation frames. Use the color setting to adjust the palette from 2 colors up to 256 colors. Fewer colors can produce smaller files but may reduce color detail. For animations with limited colors and simple graphics, reducing the number of colors can often provide better compression.
  6. Compress More Image Formats Also compress AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, BMP, TIFF, and SVG images using format-specific optimization techniques. Reduce image file size while maintaining good image quality and minimizing unnecessary data.
  7. Compress Large Images For large 2K and 4K images, lowering image quality alone may not reduce the file size enough. You can adjust the image scale to further reduce file size while maintaining good visual quality. For example, a 2560 × 1440 JPEG image can be resized and compressed to around 50KB.
